It's always interesting to have snapshots of our reading lives. This website amounts to a reading diary of sorts, but in addition I keep a notebook with a list of books read, and another one with notes on those books. Some may think this behaviour suspect and unnecessary, and they may be right, but I so often have to refer to both for various reasons that that degree of record keeping proves very useful to me - and I just happen to like it!
I hope a good few people who pass through this site will stop for a moment and tell us what they are currently reading, then we'll see - depending on whether the numbers seem statistically relevant or not - whether there are any trends, any 'common' books, any themes perhaps. And even without that, it's always interesting to know what others are reading, don't you think?
So here's my contribution: I'm well on with James Scudamore's Heliopolis,
having just put down Footsteps
by Katharine McMahon, and next I shall start The Holy City
by Patrick McCabe. A pretty varied bunch, there.
How about you?
