I've spotted a few good things in the current Kindle books promotion, for example, the first four of Elizabeth Peters's Amelia Peabody series as an omnibus edition (they come with glowing recommendations - have a look here), Julian Barnes's The Pedant In The Kitchen
(there's a bit about it here), BB's The Little Grey Men
(beloved by Mr. C. - and see his post on Brendon Chase), Nigel Slater's memoir Toast: The Story of a Boy's Hunger
(there's a 'crumb' from it here), and Sarah Moss's Names for the Sea: Strangers in Iceland
(which I mentioned re. knitting and quoted again the other day).
