One of the latest books to appear on the Blog a Penguin Classic site (which many Cornflower readers contributed to in recent months) is our Book Group book for February, The Lost Estate. You'll see the reviewer wasn't as keen on it as many of us were!

What a bizarre review. I really loved the book but I didn't "care" about the characters much either! Should I have? I cannot believe that someone thought it impossible to translate.
I see my review of Lark Rise to Candleford never made it onto the Penguin weblog; was it really so bad?
