Having only recently been introduced to the books of Margery Allingham through the wonderful The Tiger in the Smoke
and Sweet Danger,
I am very keen to read more but also to learn about the author, too. So here's another book which has been added to my very long wishlist (and thankyou for all those informed and informative comments!) because it sounds just the thing and the review of it which appeared in Saturday's "Telegraph" backs that up:
The Adventures of Margery Allingham by Julia Jones is described as ".. an excellent, lively biography, as neatly composed as a mystery from the golden age of crime writing", and the author who "has an affinity for her subject", "sets Allingham's novels into their proper context .... and paves the way for a reassessment of her work".

From your recommendation I read 'The Tiger in the Smoke' and really enjoyed it; so I will look at the Julia Jones book on Amazon. And of course more of Margery Allingham's books.
