Have not Bloomsbury done a wonderful job of matching the colour for the cover of Henrietta's War to my study walls?!!
And here's the original, longer version of my back cover quote:
"Joyce Dennys' account of the war fought on the home front is warm and
funny, but candid and telling too. While the self-effacing Henrietta
observes her friends and neighbours with much affection, her letters
chronicle the spirited response of small-town Britain to difficult and
dangerous times.
A real delight!"
More on the book proper later!
Very well deserved publicity for you; nothing I have written about a book has ever been quoted (or is ever likely to be).

I read this eagerly, and it didn't disappoint - what a wonderful, wonderful book - thank you for helping bring it back, Karen! I wrote about it on my blog the other day.

The design is lovely and I can't wait to see the books in person! How exciting to be quoted--I don't think I've ever said anything worthy of being quotable--but it's nice to know someone who has! :)
