Though I'm asking whether anyone has read Shandi Mitchell's Under this Unbroken Sky, it's unlikely that many will be able to say yes to that as it's not quite out yet (though maybe in its native Canada?). However, look out for it when it is released as it sounds like a very strong book indeed.
It's the story of an immigrant family on the Canadian prairies, "survival, love and betrayal", and has been described as "a magnificent novel .... a powerhouse of a debut that grips from start to finish."
I've read it and I thought it was a really good. I'd heartily recommend it. Wonderful characters and a good strong plotline - what more could you want?
