P.D. James at 90

A very happy birthday to P.D. James, a remarkable lady. Her publishers, Faber & Faber, have put together a round-up of features and articles on her, and I can recommend her 'fragment of autobiography', Time to Be in Earnest.

She came to speak in Brookline a number of years ago and she was so delightful. She told a very funny story about going to the Harvard-Yale game with her hosts and cheering for the wrong team.

Yes,PD James is remarkable,did you hear her this morning on the radio?Well, a belated Happy Birtthday to her,now is there a bottle lurking anywhere?...(any excuse!)

Am I ever behind in reading!! Slowly catching up...

Both my husband and I are P.D. James fans and love her 'fragment of autobiography' - would like to have much more.
