I had to photograph this display in the window of Harvey Nichols today - people made of books, a settee made of notebooks! Another window had a flamboyant dress made of pencils (I could give them a few Pippin-chewed ones for added authenticity.....).

Thank you for those pictures, what a fab display! Hope the books they used will be discounted if they go back on the shelves.

Yes, as Catherine says, what a fab display. In a way, they remind me of the paintings of people constructed from fruit and veg, fish and animals, flowers, etc, by Giuseppe Acrimboldo (1527-1539 - don't worry, I don't carry dates like that around in my head, I've just looked that up!)

Where's the picture of the dress then? I know what a book looks like! :-))

I saw this too and have cunning ideas for covering letters with pages for our window...

I wonder if this is Harvey Nics contribution to World Book Night? Good for them if it is.
