I've caught a bug and lost my voice, so as I'm not feeling up to much, I'm off to read a book (not what you might prescribe for the sick-bed, but I'm two thirds of the way through ...). Back soon, I hope.
PS Apologies to anyone who has emailed and not had a reply yet.
Poor you, hope you feel better soon.
Eva Ibbotson said that she decided to write 'the kind of book I'd like to read if I had flu.' Highly recommended, especially The Secret Countess and The Star of Kazan.

I hope you feel completely better very soon and that meanwhile you agree with the rest of us about the merits of The Crimson Petal.

Get well soon. Perhaps you can sit in a sunny window and enjoy our lovely weather.

If you caught that bug (and not the inverse), then you are in control. Just set it free again!
I hope all our good wishes will help - good reading meantime.

This puts a whole new meaning on the term "computer bug"! Just rest, girl, and then you should get well all the sooner. Read, take lots of nice soothing drinks, keep warm, relax-ay-vous!

Get well - and if you're not better when you've finished Michel Faber (though I trust you will be, unless you're a *really* fast reader( remember I Capture the Castle which is very good reading when feeling under the weather

Lots of rest and hydration!! May the reading really help squish that bug.

I reckon that book is just the ticket! Will take your mind somewhere quite away from your sickbed, with luck. Get well very soon....we need your comments on the Wedding apart from anything else. Will want your opinions on everything!
