Another souvenir of my packed weekend (the first one is here), though in this case it's only a photograph of the item I've brought home, not the thing itself. Feel free to guess what it is, though I'll be amazed if anyone can get it unless they've seen it for themselves. All will be revealed soon.

Looks a little like my illegible handwriting, but I'd not bother to cross it out like that. It is likely to be, given your interests, an original MS by someone well known. I suspect it is not Ms Woolf as it doesn't look much like hers - lines are too straight for a start.
Looks nothing like Walter Scott's either. The loops, such what I can see of them look a little like the writing of Robert Burns, so that's my guess.
