A nice way to start a Thursday!

Darlene

Your titles worked brilliantly!

Harriet

...and now I have. http://harrietdevine.typepad.com/harriet_devines_blog/2011/12/end-of-year-meme.html

Can never resist memes like these!

Niranjana (Brown Paper)

What a charming meme! I had a go, but with a small variation--I restricted the books to those I'd reviewed on my blog. Here's my post: http://niranjana.wordpress.com/2011/12/15/day-in-books/

brenda kahn

Very cute! Found yours via Brown Paper. Adding you!

Ho, what a time waster! I've had a go.

Cornflower

Many thanks! (I tried to comment on yours, but couldn't).

amaliabalash

Really enjoyed whiling away 10 minutes with this!

FleurFisher

Very clever!

Niranjana (Brown Paper)

Must've been a temporary glitch. Anyway, thank you for inventing a very enjoyable meme! Looking forward to more such "silliness".

litlove

Such a cute meme! I can never think of titles that fit, but yours are wonderful!

Claire (The Captive Reader)

What fun! Here's my go at it.

Eibhlin

Thanks for the fun! Here's mine:

Love it, Karen! Must have a go myself...

Margaret @ BooksPlease

I couldn't resist doing this myself - http://www.booksplease.org/2011/12/17/my-day-in-books/

Darlene

I had so much fun doing this while my husband is out doing the grocery shopping, lucky me!

Jo

Here is mine http://josbookjourney.wordpress.com/2011/12/17/meme-for-the-year/

Such fun!

Geraldine

I don't have a blog, so will post my attempt here in comments. Hope that's okay.

My Day in Books

I began the day with Pink Sugar

On my way to work I saw Watership Down

and walked by The Clan of the Cave Bear

to avoid The Elephant War

but I made sure to stop at The Stones of Green Knowe

In the office, my boss said, The Dark is Rising

and sent me to research The Wild Goose Quest

At lunch with Katherine Wentworth

I noticed The Chalet School Triplets

under The Darling Buds of May

then went back to my desk Back Stage

Later, on the journey home, I bought The Best of Everything

because I have, Diary of a Provincial Lady

then settling down for the evening, I picked up The Trumpet of the Swan

and studied The Astonishing Stereoscope

before saying goodnight Prince Caspian

Cornflower

By all means, Geraldine. Thankyou!

Joan Hunter Dunn

Hello - what a wonderful meme. I had such fun making mine. Thank you.

Bree

Another non-blogger here. I took the liberty of modifying the first line slightly, because I couldn't resist the temptation to use that title.

As the day began, I Started Early, Took My Dog.
On my way to work I saw Charles Jessold, Considered As a Murderer
and walked by Caleb's Crossing
to avoid A Death in Summer
but I made sure to stop at A Palace in the Old Village.
In the office, my boss said, "My Dear I Wanted to Tell You"
and sent me to research Rules of Civility.
At lunch with Clara and Mr. Tiffany
I noticed Poor Caroline
under The Cat's Table,
then went back to my desk On Canaan's Side.
Later, on the journey home, I bought All Our Worldly Goods
because I have My Father's Fortune,
then settling down for the evening, I picked up Ghost Light
and studied An Atlas of Impossible Longing
before saying goodnight to The Stranger's Child.

What a fun meme! Here's mine: The Literary Stew
