Catherine at Juxtabook (and of course C.L. Hawley Books) has just set up a blog called Gifted by Juxtabook which will help find books for very bright 9-14 year olds.
I think this is an excellent idea and will be, I'm sure, a very helpful service, flagging up well-written books for able young readers, but noting the 'watch points' - the age-appropriateness of content of various types. Follow the link above to read all about it.
Thank you! This is just what I need (besides peace and an end to violence in the Mid East of course).

Sounds like a brilliant idea. My daughters both had reading ages well beyond their chronological ages and it always took a lot of research to find something that challenged them but in the right way particularly when they were in the 9 - 11 age group.

If only, Jade.

Yes, I think it's a great idea, and well done to Catherine for taking the initiative - I'm sure her guidance will be very valuable.
