Michael Deacon's parliamentary sketch columns always make me laugh, and his most recent one included a bit which tickled me particularly, though it may mystify non-UK readers:
“Me father were a Regius Professor o’ English Literature, an’ his father before him. Any son o’ mine will be a Regius Professor o’ English Literature, an’ all. It’s man’s work, is discussin’ issues o’ gender representation in t’works o’ Virginia Woolf."
