I've already shown you the Robert Louis Stevenson panel of The Great Tapestry of Scotland, but here are some more details from panels which feature writers or books of one kind or another, from law books to works of scripture, philosophy, political economy, etc., and even the 15th. century allegorical poem, The Buke of the Howlat!
Looking at J.M. Barrie's Peter Pan there (as Sir Walter Scott appears to be doing but is not, as the actual panels are far removed from one another) makes me think that a tapestry devoted to Scottish literature could be a similarly wonderful thing.
What a brilliant idea, Karen! Keep me posted on that one...

I wonder whether the organisers have any stamina left for another project! We stitchers would, I'm sure, be keen to do more if the opportunity arose.
