That break in transmission was unintended - I've been laid low with a lurgy (debilitating but not remotely serious) and am just getting back to normal now. Emails were beyond me when I was ill, so apologies to anyone who is waiting to hear from me as I work through the backlog. As for reading, I'm scarcely any further on with either book than when I last posted so I've nothing much to report on that front.
In other bookish news, though, I watched Wolf Hall last night and loved it, and thus far I should think Hilary Mantel must be very pleased indeed; and still on historical/period fiction, here's a rather nice post by Tracy Chevalier on her notebooks (and see also this).
Feel better soon, dear Cornflower.

Lot of lurgies about in the aftermath of the festive season and since one or other of us seems to have had one or other of them since then (some of us coping with it better than others!), I can sympathise!
Hope you feel fully recovered very soon.
