As rain is the theme over on the other site today, I thought I'd continue it here with links to posts on some 'rainy' books and poems:
The Rain Tree: A Memoir by Mirabel Osler
The Right Attitude to Rain by Alexander McCall Smith
Who Loves The Rain by Frances Shaw
A Thunderstorm in Town by Thomas Hardy
History of the Rain by Niall Williams
Like rain it sounded till it curved by Emily Dickinson
And see also.
Ha ha!
I knew I'd once made a list of rainy day songs and found it here. The post is followed by a discussion on French grammar!

Sorry to be picky, but that Hardy is one of my favourite poems and I think you've copied it from a faulty website as the first line needs the word "new" to scan and is, in fact,
She wore a new "terra cotta" dress
Oooh, I am a pain!
