Love the pic of Beatrix and her dog!

Me too, Liz! Kep looks like a fine chap.

Love the picture of Beatrice Potter at Hill Top. We visited Hill Top years ago when my daughters were small, and found it fascinating - especially the dolls' house where Tom Thumb and Hunca Munca wreak such havoc! The house and the garden were all exactly as I imagined and have remained in memory ever since.

I went years ago, too, Christine, and I'd love to go back. The biography I'm reading is very good on the locations Beatrix used for her pictures, and as Hill Top and Sawrey often featured, the place is very familiar.

I too went to Hill Top many, many years ago. I recall standing at the top of the staircase looking exactly as it appears in The Tale of Samuel Whiskers, a treasured book of mine as it had been given to me new, rather than the many hand -me -downs from older sister's.

Oh I just spotted this! You're so welcome, Karen! Aren't the prints and cards fabulous?! That Beatrix Potter one is lovely. Thanks so much for mentioning me in your post! xxx
