I was saying to my husband how like Autumn the garden felt and then opened my Twitter account to find Eleanor's link to her post. I think it was Susan Hill who said that many people find they prefer Spring as they get older but for myself I find Autumn is a time I enjoy but it is Winter I adore - most probably because the comforts of the modern world allow us to embrace that season!
