If you read a lot of history and you're in or near London, the following - from Heywood Hill - may be of interest to you:-
"A distinguished former diplomat called Richard Fraser-Darling sadly died earlier this year. Mr F-D loved British and American military, political and social history. We bought his collection of books from his widow which amounts to around 2,500 good and interesting titles by all the big names.
We cannot possibly accommodate the books in HH, so we have created a pop-up shop in our temporary warehouse at 7 Coppetts Road, Muswell Hill, London N10 1NN.
We are opening the pop-up to all comers for two days this week, the 28th and 29th November. There is no list of titles - it is simply a pick your own bonanza for a historian or military history buff. The vast majority of books will be priced between £10 and £25. Do come and say hello!"
My word, can you imagine the crush? It would be interesting though.
