So glad to see ...

... that Anne Youngson's book Meet Me at the Museum has been shortlisted for the Costa First Novel Award.

It impressed me very much, and I'm pleased that it's getting this recognition.

I was delighted to see this on the list as well. I really enjoyed the book and was lucky enough to hear Anne talk about it at this year's Henley-on-Thames Literary Festival. (My review of the event, if you're interested:

So I think I'll be rooting for her, although there are some other great books on the list.

My attention was drawn to this book, Karen, by a short feature in the Daily Telegraph. I ordered the book and it arrived in record time and I devoured it within a day. What a delight it was from beginning to end, one of the best novels I've read this year without a shadow of a doubt.
