Following on from yesterday's post, here is Colin Firth talking perceptively and eloquently about J.L. Carr, his novel ("it's a joy to read"), and the film of A Month in the Country (1987) in which he played Birkin.
You can watch the film on Amazon Prime Video, the BFI website, or on Youtube, though the quality there isn't great.
What good things you find, and share Karen. That interview was fascinating and took my mind off Brexit so thank you!

I'd never heard of this film but I've now watched it and it made me want to read the book again. Thank you!
