Anne Youngson's Meet Me at the Museum was one of my books of the year last year. In addition to the Costa First Novel Award it won the Paul Torday Memorial Prize, and in the video above you can see Anne in conversation with Paul's son Piers and his fellow judge Anita Sethi giving an interesting perspective on the publishing industry.

I read this last year as well and heard Anne Youngson speak about her book at Henley Literary Festival. My review of her talk if you're interested https://whatcathyreadnext.wordpress.com/2018/10/24/event-review-a-j-pearce-anne-youngson-henley-literary-festival-2018-1st-october-2018/

I love the idea of this prize. I hadn't heard of it before, but some of the books on last year's shortlist look really tempting. Thanks for highlighting it. Helen

Everything begins with a phenomenal thought. Without that first bit of motivation, how might you be relied upon to compose that game-changing novel or genuine gem? In any case, when you have that thought, there's a ton you can do to shape it into an extraordinary first draft, and from your first draft to a cleaned book. We have incredible stuff on the blog which will assist you with taking a shot at your art.
