... Random Commentary, a compilation of Dorothy Whipple's notes and diaries from the 1920s to the 40s. I found it in the library a few years ago and enjoyed it very much.

I was also very pleased to find a library copy, as second-hand copies were rare and very expensive. I think there was another memoir, too - called The Other Day? something like that - which I think I enjoyed more because it was - well, less random. I expect it's on Persephone's some-day list and they'll get around to it eventually.
