    ... a film version of John Preston's novel The Dig (post on it here) about the Sutton Hoo excavation and discoveries in 1939.

    We very much enjoyed the book so shall certainly watch this when it's out next month.

I have not read the book but have seen the trailer of the film. I can't wait to see it!

I hadn't heard of this but it's exactly the sort of thing I'd love. I was in Norway last year and visited the Viking ships which were so interesting, and I think they're from a similar era. My library has the book and I've put it on hold. I hope it comes to streaming soon!
