Literary stitching

Such fun to stitch! I changed the bird to a dog and used slightly different blues to those specified but otherwise stuck to the design.

All materials from Peakside Needleworks.

I'm hugely impressed - not only that you can stitch so neatly but that you can change a design. You say you swapped one element and make it sound like a piece of cake :)

I'm pretty much a beginner so perhaps I have the confidence of the person who knows no better!
I found the dog on another chart and was able to change its size and orientation fairly easily.

Thank you, Darlene. I'll have to find a frame for it - dare I tackle the framing myself?! - the stitching was the easy part!

I like cross-stitch, and although have not done any for years I still buy kits from time to time (I guess so I will be ready).

Have you read A Single Thread by Tracy Chevalier? I don't see it on your blog. I think you would enjoy it. It was one of my favorite books this year and (bonus) my book group enjoyed it too.
